MANITOWOC, Wis. – Jagemann Stamping Company is excited to announce the recent acceptance of the Young Adult Champion Award. Jagemann has been involved in the Youth Apprentice (YA) program for 25 years since its inception in 1993 in Manitowoc County.
Jagemann began the program by taking YA students in the Machine Tool area. Within the last ten years they have expanded the program into Industrial Maintenance, Sales and Marketing, Accounting/Business Office, Engineering and most recently, Production Processes.
Through this company wide integration of YA students Jagemann currently has 33 employees that began with the company as YA students. Jagemann has been champions of the YA to RA bridge since back in the last 90’s and continues to excel in this program today. “Since inception, this has proven to be a valuable program for everyone involved,” stated Greg Jagemann™, Manufacturing Manager for Jagemann. “We are enhancing the lives of young adults in our community, while also investing in future employees” added Greg.
Jagemann Stamping prides itself on the caliber of mentors assigned to work with the YA students. They assign mentors to the YA students who truly care about investing in the youth and developing upcoming employees. This proves true through the number of YA to RA students Jagemann has retained to this day.
Over the years, Jagemann has continually invested in the community by enhancing lives of students. As a result, they received the 2019 Employer Champion Award from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards and the Wisconsin Apprenticeship Advisory Council.
